Checklist for DOC Snapshots |
|
1. Your first thing to do if you are not 100 % sure what to do for a theme: Google the theme or look it up on wikipedia. |
|
|
2. Once you have the idea, start with the outfit, best in an empty room without light effects to check what you want to change with effects and ambient lights later. Test the outfit with the MCG skin and check for red pixels. If it shows ANY - it's a no go. |
|
| 3. Test your poses or posing spots. Some poses take off outfit parts, others cause items to cut in each other. Helpful items are the Ultra & Mega Posers that allow you fine tuning on other pose bundles. | |
| 4. Pick a room that has either the light and background you want, or a ambient light room and portable backdrop. | |

5. Find the best position - check light effects, background details you want in your final picture, try your pose in the setting. Play with scaling if it is about details; size your avi or the background up or down. |
| 6. Once you found the pose and position, it is time for effects and details. If one item makes something invisible, try a different camera angle, place the item behind you, or cover invisibly with solid items. | |
| 7. Test the snapshot - does it show the atmosphere you want to transport? Is the picture filled out or are there "boring" empty areas? | |
| 8. Save the snapshot/outfit and title it. "My Outfit" is simply boring - be creative with the title, too. If you impersonate a character from a movie or book, use the name in it. Think like a painter who wants to sell this artwork on an auction. | |
| 9. Don't miss the submission deadline! |
